Access Statement
- Rose Court Holiday Apartments (self catering) are housed in a Victorian Villa built around 1857 situated on York Road, Babbacombe, the locality is in a level position.
- The approach to the property is via a large Car Park with parking for all apartments. Vehicles are able to drive up to the entrance to unload. Assistance with luggage is available on request.
- Access to the Residents lawned garden is via the car park and is on the level.
- Guest entry to the building is through the double Vestibule doors and up one step through double doors into the main hall.
- All apartment entry doors are fitted with Door Closures to conform with the requirements of the mains wired central Fire & Smoke Alarm System which is fitted. Emergency Lighting is fitted on all floors on stairways and corridors.
- The entire building is non-smoking.
- On the ground floor there are Apt. No.6 and Apt. No.7, both of these have wide doors into the apartments the internal doors are normal 30 inches wide.
- There is one other ground floor apartment No.5 which is reached via its own outside entrance door via two steps. All the doors in this apartment are nomal 30 inches wide.
- The First Floor Aptartment No.1 is reached via 14 steps on to a half landing on a wide staircase. The apartment is laid out in a split level arrangement, reaching the next level via two steps.
- Apartment No.2 is reached via a further 6 steps up the main staircase from the half landing and has normal 30 inch wide doors.
- Apartment No.3 and No.4 are located along a short corridor, these apartments all have normal 30 inch wide doors and both have split level arrangement via two steps down to the next level. to reach the kitchen and wc/shower rooms.
- All apartments have wc/shower rooms. Wheelchair access into these areas are restricted because of the door widths.
- There is a regular Bus Service within 200yds and local shops within 500yds. Doctors and Dentists are also close by and the local Hospital is within 2 miles.
